Resumo:
This academic work aims to analyze the performance of the Public Ministry of Bahia (MP-BA) to monitor and supervise the implementation of Law 10.639/03, who amended the Law 9.394/1996, establishing the guidelines and bases of national education, to include in the curriculum official of the Teaching Network the obligatoriness of the subject-matter "History and African and Afro-Brazilian Culture", before the private schools of the County of Salvador. Considering that these institutions are in the first period of verification of the Inter-Institutional Committee to monitor the implementation of Laws 10.639 / 03 and 11.645 / 08. Through empirical and qualitative research, I conducted semi-directives interviews with MP-BA, members of the Committee and professionals from three private schools to analyze how is the ministerial agency performance.
