Resumo:
Work in startups, usually carried out through short-term contracts and the hiring of
freelancers, reflects a growing trend of precariousness in the job market. Digitalization and
informality promote flexibility at the cost of security and stability for workers. In this sense, a
transformation in labor relations that resembles old forms of exploitation, marked by long
hours and violation of labor rights, while self-employed professionals in the technology field,
seen as self-entrepreneurs, face pressure of competing in an unstable market, leading to
self-exploitation and financial uncertainty. The operational model that leads to the
precariousness of work and the ineffectiveness of labor assumptions, so that the
individualization promoted by autonomous labor relations makes collective mobilization and
the expression of the autonomy of professionals' will difficult, despite the promises of
innovation and growth in the technological sector , the scenario is one of precariousness and
underutilization of the workforce, exacerbated by contemporary economic crises, whose
digitalization of work blurs the boundaries between personal and professional life. This
global reality of digital work suggests that, without measures of resistance and protection,
conditions of precariousness can solidify in the digital capitalist system, increasing inequality
and vulnerability of workers in various sectors.
