Resumo:
Unsafe abortion in Brazil is currently the fifth cause of maternal mortality, being considered by
the World Health Organization a public health problem since 1967. This paper aims, through
analysis of statistical data obtained from the SIM - Mortality Information System, through
DATASUS platform and cross-referencing with data obtained from the National Council of
Justice on abortion crime cases that occurred throughout the national territory, with a specific
analysis of the State of Bahia, from 2014-2018, using the feminist perspective on sexual and
reproductive rights of women attended by the Unified Health System, through literature review.
