Resumo:
The Technical-Technological Production (TTP) entitled “Quotas Without Mystery: An Interactive Guide to Facilitate Access to Ifes – Nova Venécia Campus” is linked to the Graduate Program in Curriculum, Languages, and Pedagogical Innovations at the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Bahia. Its development was based on data obtained through a broader research project titled “The Quota Policy in Integrated Secondary-Level Technical Education: A Case Study at Ifes Nova Venécia Campus,” which involved students enrolled in the Civil Construction and Mining technical courses between 2019 and 2024. This theoretical and empirical deep dive revealed that the greatest difficulty faced by quota candidates lies in the documentation verification phase, which often generates doubt, insecurity, and denials, constituting the main barrier to accessing reserved slots. In light of this reality, an Intervention Project (IP) was developed to mitigate these challenges through the creation of an educational and interactive tutorial directed at different quota groups. The proposal includes producing explanatory animated videos, segmented by specific categories, that clearly present the criteria required for each quota type and modality. These materials will be accompanied by printed brochures containing QR Codes that direct candidates to the digital platform hosting the videos, facilitating access to information. In essence, the TTP “Quotas Without Mystery: An Interactive Guide to Facilitate Access to Ifes – Nova Venécia Campus” is a direct response to the need to promote greater equity and social justice in education access. By disseminating essential information about affirmative action policies in a clear, accessible, and engaging manner, the TTP aims to overcome the historical and often invisible barriers that still persist, ensuring that the principles of the Quota Law are truly realized in an inclusive and equitable selection process for all prospective students of Ifes – Nova Venécia Campus.
