Resumo:
ABSTRACT This study brings elements about the production of knowledge of the work of the Social Worker in Education Policy, making a cut in the field of Public Schools of Basic Education. The object of study of the research is: " the production of knowledge about the work of the Social Worker in Basic Education.". The central
question is: how the production of Social Service has been reflecting the professional performance in Basic Education specifically in public schools? In order to answer this question, we present the reseach’s general objective: To bring up knowledge production of the Brazilian Social Work, with a view to
investigate how the Social Worker in Basic Education is being thought; and as
specific objectives: to collect and catalog Social Service theses and dissertations that deal with the work of the social worker in public primary schools; identify, from the theses and dissertations raised, the main demands that the public schools have asked the social worker; identify and analyze the main trends of the social worker's professional duties from the analyzed productions; identify and analyze the challenges proposed in the studies for the work of the Social Worker in the public school system (basic education). A bibliographical and documentary
research was carried out, having as sources the Theses and Dissertations of the Brazilian Institute of Information, Science and Technology (IBICT) and of the
Coordination of Improvement of Higher Level Personnel (CAPES) and the
legislation related to the work of the social worker On education. From these
sources a balance of the production of the knowledge about the object of study
was realized, Theses and Dissertations bank was constructed with 39 (thirty nine)
studies that deal with the tasks of the social worker in the most diverse modalities of action in Education. The analysis was carried out from the Content Analysis of 9 (nine) studies that deal with the work of the Social Worker in public schools, among them 8 (eight) master's dissertations and 1 (one) doctoral theses. In this way, the research brings elements that help to think how the work of the Social Work in public schools takes place. It presents as results that the social worker has been working with the various expressions of the social question that are present in the school, such as situations of violence, bullying, teenage pregnancy etc. The Social Work acts as a mediator between school and family along with multiprofessional teams, often pedagogues, principals, pedagogical coordinators and psychologists. They also acts in communication with the network and bodies, such as Tutelary Council, Family Health Program, CRAS, CREAS, among others.
