Resumo:
“Folds: Poetic Procedures for Political Affective Actions Dances” is an articulated constellation of folds, creases and indentations, made of stories, affections and spaces. The purpose is to gather reflections and philosophical exercises built around an experience of creation in dance concerned with actions that co-move issues about ourselves – about me, about you, about “the other” – actions involved in accidental or intentional encounters, and no less the enchantments and strangeness provoked by these those encounters. In the implied creative production, in the format of an artist’s notebook (printed and online), we seek to contribute to the debate and confluence between art, movement and collectivity; we also wish to collaborate in the construction of dialogic spaces of political complexity, as we understand the development of artistic procedures as possible social technologies – tools for coexistence. The folding and unfolding of the pages of the present production focused on the recurring characteristics of four original artistic works produced by the artist and author of this investigation - “Fold, an origami dance”; “CAVALAS (Horses)”; “O Abacaxi” or “Suco da Revolta (Rebellion Juice)”; and #dançafaxina (cleaning dance) - developed between 2013 and 2023, in transit between São Paulo and Salvador. All the products were developed in the context of temporary collectives of artists involved with different artistic languages, mainly of the performing arts or of dance. The investigation of the artistic production was carried out through the activation of the works in different contexts, through process criticism, through cartographic interpretation as well as through the writing of the free association of ideas. The present research is a creative production in the form of an artist's notebook composed of four booklets that fold over themselves, and which contain two other small booklets: a fanzine that is also a poster and a small book with many small folds, called here the worm booklet. The artist’s notebook shar creative procedures.
