Resumen:
This research presents a pedagogical proposal for investigative activities in high school, developed within the scope of the professional master's degree program at PROFMAT/UFBA, to help students build their professional life projects, strengthen financial education in the school context and focusing on the connection between career choices and financial planning, through a didactic sequence that integrates investigative activities and the use of digital technologies. The research methodology combines elements of financial mathematics with the development of students' life projects, using investigative activities to stimulate the autonomous exploration of mathematical problems and the formulation of hypotheses and solutions. The results of the initial diagnosis of the students, their solutions and discussions of the tasks are presented, analyzing advances, difficulties, strategies and reflections from the perspective of Critical Mathematics Education and the articulation between prior knowledge and mathematical/social knowledge. The final analysis indicates that the integration of financial education into the school curriculum, through investigative activities and the use of digital technologies, prepares students for the financial demands of adult life and promotes the development of essential skills, such as critical thinking and autonomy, as recommended by the Brazil’s Common National Curriculum Base.
