Resumen:
In this dissertation, the photovoltaic systems of the Guanambi and Uruçuca campi of
IFBaiano were analyzed based on information from installation projects, technical visits,
consultation with stakeholders, and mainly, by evaluating the data available on the Internet
fed by Fronius frequency inverters. Initially, the attributes of impacts on energy generation
and the losses that reduce the generation of electrical energy in a photovoltaic system were
addressed. For each of these factors, proposals were created in order to quantify them with the
aim of estimating how much energy would have been generated, comparing with actual
production. In addition to this comparison, evaluations were carried out between the two
photovoltaic systems, using figures of merit.
In the chapter “Methodology for estimating the generation of a photovoltaic system”,
the calculated values were represented in tabular form. The method in which system specific
calculations were performed was defined as Detailed, while that obtained by the joint analysis
of the two photovoltaic systems was called Approximate. The description of this second
method assumes that the real results of these two generations are not known and its objective
is to make the estimation of energy generation from any photovoltaic system simple and
objective. The estimates were compared with the energy generated to check whether the final
results were reliable. The result of the Approximate Method proved to be satisfactory,
differing by less than 10% between the real and estimated values.
Finally, a case study is exemplified for the application of the methodology developed
with the aim of estimating energy generation in a supposed photovoltaic system. The
calculation steps were guided assertively, quickly, providing quality data for decision making
in a short period of time.
