Os conceitos de ação e educação em Hannah Arendt: distinções necessárias para uma relação possível

Abstract

A presente pesquisa analisa os principais aspectos dos conceitos de ação e de educação de Hannah Arendt. Em sua obra A condição humana, a autora afirma ser a atividade da ação a que nos torna verdadeiramente humanos e que, ao agirmos, pode sugerir um novo início no mundo. Já em seu ensaio A crise na educação, a filósofa declara que a atividade educativa é a que acolhe e familiariza os recém-chegados com o mundo, a partir da dupla responsabilidade de quem educa: a de receber os novos e a de cuidar do espaço mundo em comum. Hannah Arendt é categórica quando afirma que os âmbitos da ação e da educação são distintos e precisam ser separados. Entretanto, a própria autora nos aponta indícios de que essas diferenças não anulam a possibilidade de os dois conceitos estabelecerem relações: por ser a educação a atividade que introduz os recém-chegados no mundo comum e, a ação, a atividade que nos possibilita, através dos atos e das palavras, revelarmos quem somos, todas as vezes em que agimos. A proposta central desta pesquisa é compreender o que caracteriza os conceitos arendtianos de ação e de educação, em que se distinguem e quais as possibilidades de relações entre eles. Considerando que, atualmente, predomina um modelo de educação estruturado para atender as demandas de funcionamento da sociedade, priorizando preparar os educandos para serem trabalhadores funcionais e consumidores, torna-se urgente refletirmos sobre outras perspectivas para educação, na busca do sentido que ela tem em si mesma, o seu vínculo com o mundo e as suas relações com a nossa capacidade de realizar o novo, ou seja, a nossa capacidade de agir.

ABSTRACT:The present research analyzes the main aspects of the concepts of action and education of Hannah Arendt. In her work The Human Condition, the author affirms that it is the activity of action that makes us truly human and that, and that through action a new beginning in the world can emerge. Already in her essay The Crisis in Education, the philosopher states that the educational activity is the one that welcomes and acquaints newcomers to the world, from the double responsibility of those who educate: that of receiving the new ones and of taking care of our space in common. Hannah Arendt is categorical when she states that the scopes of action and education are distinct and need to be separated. However, the author herself points out to us that these differences do not negate the possibility of the two concepts establishing relationships, because education is the activity that introduces newcomers to the common world, and action, the activity that enables us, through acts and words, to reveal who we are, every time we act. The central proposal of this research is to understand what characterizes the concepts of action and of education in the work of Arendt, in which aspects they are distinguished and what are the possibilities of relations between them. Considering that, currently, a structured education model predominates to meet the demands of the functioning of society, prioritizing the preparation of students to be functional workers and consumers, it is urgent to reflect on other perspectives for education, in the search for meaning that it has in itself, its link with the world and its relations with our capacity to realize the new, that is, our capacity to act.
