Abstract:
The development of this research in visual arts consists of means and methods in the process
of creating woodcuts, through collages and sculptures. These innovations are significantly
connected to photography and public art. Using a poetic language that focuses on the process
of elaboration for the highlighted works here, exploring various representations of elements
of nature and human expressiveness, ranging from the creation of large wooden plates to
engravings that fit in the palm of the hand. These plates, in turn, intertwine with other aspects
of arts research, especially in printmaking. In this way, the subjects and their expressiveness
within the context of the engraved images relate to the urban landscape and the characters of
the city of Salvador. Thus, the works in progress aim to characterize and highlight features of
both anonymous individuals and characters who reveal their stories through poetic chronicles
in prints that become part of the local landscape, as well as three-dimensional objects and
elements of nature.
