Resumo:
Rivers of Memories: 16 Years of Insurgent Currents is the result of an implicit research developed in the Master's Program of Professional Postgraduate Studies in Dance at the Federal University of Bahia, which, while reflecting my professional trajectory as an artist, educator and manager, systematizes the work developed at the Cultural and Educational Institution Arte Sem Fronteiras, in the city of Manaus, Amazonas. Thus, the research, in addition to recording the history of the institution, reflects on its processes, developments and achievements throughout its fifteen years of existence. Arte Sem Fronteiras emerged as a non-formal space for technical teaching in dance with the objective of encouraging and promoting culture and education for the population in vulnerable situations in the city of Manaus/AM. Today, Arte Sem Fronteiras is a Cultural Center with sixteen years of successful history, which accumulates multiple actions with the same focus. The work is characterized as action research, in addition to using a documentary analysis, and procedures such as a logbook, semi-structured interview, studies and readings. As a reference, to support my research in the theoretical scope of popular culture manifestations, I bring Adan Renê, Ailton Krenak and Leda Maria Martins, also counting on theoretical assumptions of Prodan, as implied research, reflected in Rangel et al. (2021). As a result of the review and systematization process, I present as a technical production, the Artistic-Educational Portfolio “Rios de Memórias: 16 Anos de Correntezas Insurgentes” about the history of Arte Sem Fronteiras, highlighting its processes and its cultural production. With this, I hope to contribute to the memory of the artistic and cultural history of Manaus, based on initiatives of non-governmental organizations, today recognized as a Ponto de Cultura, with repercussions from its wide dissemination in art and culture environments.
