The following hypothesis was put forward to guide this research: Performance indicators can be used as a tool to control community policing activities. The methodological design used the hypothetical-deductive method, opting for descriptive, cross-sectional and qualitative research, whose research instruments were bibliographical and documentary research for data collection. There was a need for mixed control mechanisms that act not only negatively, through punishment, but also in a positive way.
