Resumo:
This work investigates how present-day flutists learn the Baroque flute. It addresses
some technical issues of the instrument and describes the processes of analysis,
practicing and performing G. P. Telemann´s Fantasien for solo flute No. 1 and No. 11.
It presents discussions and the protocols adopted while translating into Portuguese
Janice Boland's Method for One-Keyed Flute, a fundamental guide for modern flutists
who wish to learn the ancient instrument.
