Resumo:
This research entitled Songs and Charms of the Brazilian Traditional and Popular in Basic Education: A Proposal for Musical Experiences in the Classroom Class, presented to the Professional Master's Degree in Arts (PROFARTES) at Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), reflected on the potential educational content contained in the knowledge and practices present in this repertoire, based on the use of poetic-musical elements contained in these manifestations. Therefore, a qualitative approach was adopted based on a methodology ethnographic, with a view to identifying and reflecting on how the pedagogical proposal
based on traditional and popular songs can contribute to the improvement of music learning in basic education. were applied pedagogical interventions with a 6th year class of basic elementary school in a municipal school in the city of Salvador/BA. As theoretical contributions to the importance of valuing the epistemes and contents of Afro-diasporic and/or Amerindians, the project is supported by the reflections of Dumas (2023), Souza (2019), Candusso (2022), Carneiro (2005) and Paz (2014). About respect for prior knowledge with which students arrive at school spaces formal forms and the values that they introject into the popular songs conveyed by media or learned in coexistence within society, we rely on contributions from Swanwick (2003), Freire (1996) and Souza (2003). We are also in line with current prerogatives that debate the importance of decolonize social structures forged from hegemonic imposition Eurocentric approach that has always privileged, and continues to privilege, literacy in detriment of cultures based on orality.
