Abstract:
This work aims to elucidate the views of members of the Community Research and Education Networks (Redecomeps) as tools for the development of their regions. These Networks are an important links in Brazilian research and educational network infrastructure. Its construction as an arrangement of institutions in the metropolitan areas that have a common goal: to strengthen the infrastructure of research and education, promoting collaboration in the region. As communities of research and education, Redecomeps seek means of ensuring the maintenance and operation of a common infrastructure, the financial stability, an organizational structure and management, alignment with members that are meeting the needs and regional needs and public policies. Looking for a governance mechanism capable of ensuring their financial sustainability and policy, this research raised the vision of the role of members of their networks and different mechanisms for its consolidation, led discussions and clarifications and allowed documenting the certainties and doubts about their maintenance, management and governance. In explaining the different views, this document seeks to contribute to the construction of models that allow the consolidation of these networks.
