Resumo:: A presente pesquisa performativo-reflexiva se propõe a investigar as implicações epistemológicas e poéticas do brincar enquanto conceito para performance digital. A metodologia de trabalho utilizada envolve o entrelaçamento da prática artística com a reflexão acadêmica, buscando um diálogo com a produção contemporânea na área. O aporte teórico da argumentação tem como trama conceitual o conceito de estado de invenção de Hélio Oiticica; os estudos da performance de Richard Schechner e Bruce McConachie; o entendimento de performance digital de Steve Dixon, e o conceito de play proposto por Victor Turner, Donald Winnicott e Miguel Sicart. Enquanto estratégia de composição em performance, foi utilizado o programa performativo de Eleonora Fabião e o conceito de comportamento restaurado de Richard Schechner. Para defender o conceito de brincar enquanto tradução mais abrangente para o conceito de play, esta investigação faz uma análise comparativa da bibliografia selecionada, bem como da etimologia e história do vocábulo. Busca-se, finalmente, redimensionar as relações entre artista, obra e público ao dar relevância ao brincar enquanto espisteme e práxis, bem como enquanto conceito estético e poético para análise e composição em performance digital, tendo como princípios-chave a abertura da obra, o público enquanto participador, a centralidade da ação e do corpo, e o declanchar de estados de invenção compartilhados.
Abstract:: The present performative-reflexive research aims to investigate the epistemological and poetic implications of play as a concept for digital performance. The methodology of this work is based on the intertwining of the artistic practice with the academic thinking, in dialogue with the contemporary research of the field. The conceptual webbing of the theoretical argument is based upon the following concepts: invention state (Hélio Oiticica); performance studies (Richard Schechner and Bruce McConachie); digital performance (Steve Dixon); play (Victor Turner, Donald Winnicott and Miguel Sicart). The composition strategy in performance adopted is oriented by Eleonora Fabião’s aproach on performative program and Richard Schechner’s concept of restored behavior. In order to justify “brincar” as a broader translation to Portuguese of the play concept, the present investigation makes a comparative analysis of the selected bibliography on the vocable’s etymology and history. Finally, we aim to review the relationship between artist, art work, and audience as we understand play as being both episteme and praxis. The argument of this research understands the play concept as being at the same time aesthetic and poetic, which has as its key principles the opening of the work of art, the
participative role of the audience and the centrality of action and body in the triggering (dclanchamento) of shared invention states.
