Crenças e Atitudes Linguísticas: Aspectos da Realidade na Tríplice Fronteira

Abstract

A tese “Crenças e atitudes linguísticas: aspectos da realidade na Tríplice Fronteira” insere-se no conjunto de pesquisas de cunho sociolinguístico e dialetológico sobre crenças e atitudes linguísticas nos três municípios fronteiriços: Foz do Iguaçu, no Paraná (Brasil), Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) e Ciudad del Este (Paraguai). A escolha da região se dá pela complexidade sociolinguística marcada pelo espaço multiétnico da Tríplice Fronteira, onde se fazem presentes núcleos de imigração de alemães, poloneses, italianos, ucranianos, libaneses, árabes, argentinos, paraguaios, chineses e coreanos, entre outros. Para a composição do corpus foram entrevistados vinte e quatro informantes radicados há mais de vinte anos em cada uma das comunidades investigadas, distribuídos quanto ao grau de escolaridade, em dois grupos: universitários e não universitários. Conforme pesquisas da área da Sociolinguística e da Dialetologia, a língua falada em contexto de fronteira reflete as particularidades sociais, regionais, culturais e históricas de cada localidade. Sendo assim, a Tríplice Fronteira, por ser local de encontro de muitas culturas, despertou o interesse em verificar os fatores de variação linguística decorrentes da crença e das atitudes linguísticas nas línguas em contato nessa área de fronteira. Como espaço de contato de línguas, analisam-se, nesta tese, as crenças e atitudes linguísticas dos falantes e os usos linguísticos na fronteira, espaço plurilíngue, compartilhado por práticas resultantes de seu cruzamento.

The thesis “Beliefs and Attitudes language: aspects of reality in the triple border” is part of the set-based studies on sociolinguistic and dialectological beliefs and attitudes about language in the three border municipalities: Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná (Brazil), Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay). The choice of the region is given by the complex sociolinguistic multiethnic space marked by the triple border where nuclei are present immigration of Germans, Poles, Italians, Ukrainians, Lebanese, Arabs, Argentines, Paraguayans, Chinese and Korean, among others. For the composition of the corpus were interviewed twenty-four informants settled for more than twenty years in each of the communities investigated, distributed as to schooling in two groups: university and non-university. As research in the area of Sociolinguistics and Dialectology, the language spoken in the context of border reflects the specific social, regional and cultural history of each location. Thus, the triple border, being a meeting place for many cultures, has sparked interest in verifying the factors of linguistic variation resulting from belief and language attitudes in the languages in contact in this border area. As space language contact, are analyzed, in this thesis, the beliefs and attitudes of language speakers and linguistic uses in border space linguistic environment, shared by practices resulting from their intersection.
