Mulheres na cultura pop: o tratamento dedicado às mulheres e às temáticas femininas no bloco X, do site Omelete

Abstract

Investigar de qual forma as mulheres e as temáticas femininas são apresentadas e discutidas no interior do videocast Bloco X e compreender os fatores que motivaram e possibilitaram a criação deste segmento no site de cultura pop Omelete, são os objetivos deste trabalho. Como ponto de partida, destrinchamos os termos cultura pop e o nicho geek/nerd, espaços majoritariamente dominados pelo público masculino, e apresentaremos um panorama geral sobre a evolução da corrente feminista até o momento no qual o trabalho se localiza. Na segunda parte da pesquisa, recorremos à análise da história da inserção da mulher no site e em seus produtos audiovisuais e à investigação sobre quais os principais agentes envolvidos em tornar a mulher protagonista de um deles. Neste contexto, sob a metodologia de análise do telejornalismo, discorreremos sobre questões de gênero televisivo e modos de endereçamento, a fim de entender como os temas relacionados às mulheres foram tratados nos vídeos do Bloco X os quais elegemos para exploração.

Understanding how women and women’s subjects are presented and discussed within the videocast Bloco X and the terms that motivate and made possible the creation of this segment at the pop culture website Omelete are the goals of this study. As bottom line, the terms ‘pop culture’ and ‘geek/nerd’ are unveiled – both steads dominated by a male audience, it's worth pointing out –, and then we present an overview through the feminist theory evolution, since the beginning of it, till the moment witch our product is located. At the second part of the paper, we analyze how women were brought into the website and into their videocasts and, from there, we investigated on which were the main agents involved in making woman the protagonists of one of them. At long last, underneath the analysis of televison journalism methodology, we discuss issues of television’s genres and modes of adressing, in order to understand how the women’s issues were treated at the Bloco X’s videos which we have chosen for development
