Abstract: | A correlation between the presence of terpenes and floridosides and between the presence of bromophenols and digeneaside was observed in species of red algae belonging to the order Ceramiales. This observation suggests a division in Ceramiales that can be easily detected through the presence of the secondary metabolites, terpenes and bromophenols. |
