metadata.dc.description.resumo:	Este artigo tem por finalidade principal discutir sobre as principais variáveis que influenciaram o Investimento no Brasil no período de 1995 a 2005. Foi analisada a importância do investimento e as propostas em debate para seu crescimento. A partir das teorias neoclássica e keynesiana do investimento, formulou-se um modelo de regressão que mostrou a relação destas variáveis na determinação do investimento. A regressão estimada mostrou resultados significativos para o PIB, a taxa de juros, e a taxa de inflação e os sinais obtidos estão de acordo com os fundamentos da teoria econômica. A taxa de inflação impactou no período negativamente o investimento, em intensidade maior que a própria taxa de juros. A estabilidade econômica sinalizou ser ainda a questão de maior relevância da decisão dos investimentos.
Abstract:	This article has for main purpose to discuss about the main variables that influenced the Investment in Brazil from 1995 to 2005. The importance of the investment and the alternatives in debate for its growth will be analyzed. From the neoclassic and Keynesian theory of investment, it was formulated a regression model that shows the relation of these variables to investment. The regression showed significant results for GDP, for the interest rate and for the inflation rate. The obtained signs are in agreement with the economic theory. The inflation rate influences the investment more negatively than the own interest rate. The economic stability seems to be still the most important subject for the investor.
