A atuação política da frente nacional contra a privatização da saúde: um estudo das lutas e resistências em defesa do SUS

Abstract

This work seeks to present elements of struggles and resistance in defense of the SUS, through the political action of the National Front Against Privatization of Health (FNCPS), which has as one of its main characteristics the defense of the principles defended by the Sanitary Reform Movement, principles these that were not limited to the creation of the Unified Health System (SUS). The Sanitary Reform Movement built proposals beyond the SUS. Currently, FNCPS has as its main flag the fight against privatization through Social Organizations, State Foundations, Civil Society Organizations of Public Interest, the Brazilian Company of Hospital Services and the various counter-reforms that tend to make large portions of the public fund available to the sector. private sector, in addition to defending social transformation, another model of society, free from oppression and class inequality. We adopt the perspective of health as a set of determining and conditioning factors, understanding that all aspects that directly impact the subjects' living conditions are directly related to health conditions, such as housing, food, employment and income, which allows us to dialogue with the current characteristics of capital society and the imposed social policy model, as well as with the political perspective of the New Right, which has been growing in Brazil and in several countries, defending more market and less State. Antônio Gramsci's theoretical production on the relationship between the State and Civil Society contributes to the analysis of social movements, including the FNCPS, in the current situation, as he understands that this relationship is marked by disputes and struggles for hegemony. The main objective of this work is to analyze the political action of the National Front Against the Privatization of Health in the defense of the public, state and quality SUS, where we seek to answer the following question: how the National Front Against the Privatization of Health contributes to the defense of public, state and quality SUS? The research will be based on three main procedures for data collection, between primary and secondary sources: bibliographical research; documentary research related to the Front, including digital platforms and field research through interviews via virtual means with the participants of the Front. Analyzes and results will be presented throughout the five chapters.
