| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | A matriz elétrica brasileira precisa de expansão contínua e planejada para garantir a sua segurança energética, a diversificação das fontes de energia e a manutenção da sua predominância renovável. Adicionalmente, o setor elétrico brasileiro (SEB) pode reduzir suas emissões através da ampliação do uso de energias renováveis, o que ajudaria o Brasil a atender suas metas internacionais de sustentabilidade. Neste contexto, as energias eólica e solar são opções relevantes para o Brasil, principalmente por existirem grandes potenciais disponíveis. Com base nisto, este trabalho elabora cenários brasileiros de demanda elétrica e de oferta de energia (eólica e solar fotovoltaica) para o período de 2019 até 2050 e estima reduções de emissões de gases de efeito estufa (GEE). |
| Abstract: | The Brazilian electrical matrix needs continuous and planned expansion to guarantee its energy security, the diversification of energy sources and the maintenance of its renewable predominance. Additionally, the Brazilian electricity sector (SEB) can reduce its emissions by increasing the use of renewable energy, which would help Brazil to meet its international sustainability goals. In this context, wind and solar energy are relevant options for Brazil, mainly because there are great potentials available. Based on this, this work elaborates Brazilian scenarios of electricity demand and power energy supply (wind and solar photovoltaic) for the period from 2019 to 2050 and estimates reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. |
