Abstract

This live is part of the Information Records project: dialogues between Librarianship, Archival Science and Information Science (CI); coordinated by the Superintendent of the University Library System (SIBI/UFBA), Professor Ivana Borges Lins, in partnership with the Information Science Institute (ICI)/UFBA. Live mediated by Prof Dr Ivana Lins, professor at ICI / UFBA and Superintendent of SIBI / UFBA. Prof. Dr. José Carlos Sales, in his speech, explained his research carried out during the Specialization course in Integrated Organizational Communication, where he had organizational and institutional communication as an object. During the studies, a concern arose in relation to the role of librarians and archivists: these professionals can work with information in a strategic and competitive way in organizations and institutions. When analyzing political information, the professor concluded that the process of organizing and representing information relevant to Librarianship and Information Science are also political processes. Therefore, informational librarianship practices form a political foundation.
