10 anos de Repositório Institucional da UFBA: conquistas e desafios

Abstract

This live is part of the Information Records project: dialogues between Librarianship, Archival Science and Information Science (CI); coordinated by the Superintendent of the University Library System (SIBI/UFBA), Professor Ivana Borges Lins, in partnership with the Information Science Institute (ICI)/UFBA. Live commemorative for the 10th anniversary of the Institutional Repository (RI) of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), mediated by Prof. Me. Rodrigo França Meirelles (ICI/UFBA). The teacher Dr. Flávia Goulart Mota Garcia Rosa (Editor of the Federal University of Bahia - EDUFBA), with the collaboration of Rodrigo Meirelles and Profª Me. Susane Barros, implemented the RI/UFBA – a scientific information service that aims to bring together in a single virtual place all the scientific and academic production of UFBA, contributing to increase the visibility of the Institution and its researchers, as well as the impact of research , in addition to preserving intellectual memory, whether in the arts, sciences or humanities. Flávia Goulart highlighted one of the advantages of the RI/UFBA, which is to enable the self-archiving of digital resources (text, image and sound), as it increases the attendance to courses that have differentiated scientific production, such as: theater, dance, music, arts. The professor defined and explained how to use open access, presented the steps and trajectory for implementing the RI/UFBA, as well as the results, achievements and challenges involving the theme. In addition to speaking about the relevance of the Institutional Repository for the university community.
