A estrutura organizacional e as estratégias competitivas no futebol: uma análise do desempenho dos clubes nordestinos entre 2003 e 2019

Abstract

O presente trabalho se propõe a discutir os motivos que levam clubes da região Nordeste enfrentarem tantas dificuldades para obter desempenhos regularmente satisfatórios no contexto atual do futebol brasileiro e como a gestão é caminho mais factível para atenuar as grandes diferenças orçamentárias. A partir de uma análise das estruturas locais vigentes e as possíveis estratégias a serem adotadas pela gestão dos clubes nordestinos para diminuir a diferença para as regiões mais valorizadas do Brasil, este trabalho relaciona tais conceitos através de uma observação do paradigma de Estrutura-Conduta-Desempenho apresentado por Mason e Bain demonstrando que as estruturas defasadas da região limitam os clubes nas suas estratégias. Serão apresentadas ações que os clubes devem e tem adotado no sentido de suprir tais carências e elevarem o nível do seu desempenho.

This paper aims to discuss the reasons that lead clubs in the Northeast region to face so many difficulties to obtain regularly satisfactory performances in the current context of Brazilian football and how management is the most feasible way to mitigate large budget differences. Based on an analysis of the current local structures and the possible strategies to be adopted by the management of the northeastern clubs to reduce the difference for the most valued regions of Brazil, this work relates these concepts through an observation of the Structure-ConductPerformance paradigm presented by Mason and Bain demonstrating that the region's lagging structures limit clubs in their strategies. Actions that clubs must and have taken in order to address these needs and raise the level of their performance will be presented.
