Mulheres rurais no estado da Bahia: O papel socioeconômico da agricultura familiar no enfrentamento das desigualdades de gênero

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo uma análise sobre a força de trabalho feminina no campo, e o importante papel da agricultura familiar na superação de barreiras de gênero enfrentadas pelas produtoras brasileiras e baianas. A presente monografia buscou a essência da exploração agrícola familiar, sua relação com a terra e trabalho, sua integração com cadeias produtivas do agribusiness nacional, e suas diferentes formas para compreender como este modelo produtivo é peça chave para pensar um projeto de desenvolvimento territorial rural no país. A partir do entendimento de que a desigualdade de gênero se constitui como um entrave para este desenvolvimento, o trabalho apresenta os principais determinantes e limitantes para este cenário adverso como a divisão sexual do trabalho, a invisibilidade da mão de obra feminina rural e a masculinização do campo. Políticas públicas voltadas para a agricultura familiar são uma recente conquista e têm pautado a inclusão de gênero no campo em suas diretrizes.

The objective of this study is to analyze the female labor force in the countryside and the important role of family agriculture in overcoming gender barriers faced by the Brazilian and Bahian producers. This monograph sought the essence of family farming, its relationship with land and labor, its integration with national agribusiness production chains, and its different ways to understand how this productive model is a key factor in the elaboration of a rural territorial development project in the country. Based on the understanding that gender inequality constitutes an obstacle to this development, the paper presents the main determinants and limitations of this adverse scenario, such as the sexual division of labor, the invisibility of the rural female labor force and the masculinization of the field. Public policies aimed at family agriculture are a recent achievement and have guided the inclusion of gender in the field in its guidelines.
