Deixe o subalterno falar! Narrativas identitárias e subalternidades no cinema periférico contemporâneo

Abstract

O presente trabalho compreende a análise das narrativas identitárias de seis filmes produzidos durante o Faz-se filmes, projeto realizado no ano de 2013, via Edital Setorial da Secretaria de Cultura e Governo do Estado da Bahia. O projeto percorreu onze cidades do interior da Bahia, possibilitando a produção de curtas-metragens gratuitos a população. O eixo central de investigação da pesquisa se constitui na tentativa de entender a construção narrativa dos filmes, tendo em vista a afirmação das identidades e os contextos sociais, históricos e políticos de produção, tomando por base os estudos culturais e a metodologia de análise do discurso. Buscaremos problematizar a discussão sobre cinema no Brasil, através do conceito de cinema periférico trabalhado por Ângela Pryston, a fim de refletir sobre a possibilidade e reconhecimento de fala do subalterno, enquanto protagonista na realização dos filmes produzidos. Além disso, identificar se os discursos apresentados podem ou não fragilizar as relações de poder instituídas.

The present paper presents the analysis of identity narratives of six movies produced during the Faz-se filmes, a project carried out during the year of 2013, through a public notice from de Cultural Secretary and the government of the state of Bahia. The project covered eleven cities in the state of Bahia, enabling the production of free short movies to the population. The central axis of investigation of the research was the attempt to understand the narrative construction of the movies, bearing in mind the affirmation of identities and the social, historical and political contexts of production, based on cultural studies and the methodology of discourse analysis. We will try to deal with the discussion about cinema in Brazil through the concept of peripheral cinema worked out by Angela Pryston, in order to think about the possibility and recognition of the speech of the subaltern, as the protagonist in the making of the movies that were produced. Besides that, we intend to identify whether the presented speeches can or cannot undermine the instituted relations of power.
