Da transgressão confinada às novas possibilidades de subjetivação: resgate e atualização do legado Dzi a partir do documentário Dzi Croquettes

Abstract

Desde a extinção da formação inicial do grupo Dzi Croquettes, em 1976, muito se avançou no ocidente no que concernem os estudos feministas, gays, de gênero e queer, da subalternidade e pós-coloniais. Levando em consideração também as transformações socioculturais ocorridas, este trabalho pretende compreender a potência do referido grupo de teatro, quando visto nos dias de hoje através do documentário homônimo, na criação de novas possibilidades de subjetivação no panorama sociocultural brasileiro. Para tanto, busca-se contextualizar o seu surgimento na esteira da contracultura; antenados aos acontecimentos fora do Brasil, como os movimentos sociais nascentes, e sob a forte influência do movimento Tropicália, eles subiram ao palco sob o comando técnico de Lennie Dale e o humor de Walter Ribeiro e lançaram as bases para um novo gênero teatral, brasileiríssimo, que mais tarde viria a ser conhecido como besteirol. Tudo isso fizeram em cima do salto, trajando vestimentas masculinas e femininas sobre corpos sarados, peludos e pesadamente maquiados e purpurinados: eram o retrato da androginia. Sua performance tinha a potência de borrar limites e desnaturalizar corpos, expondo o caráter performativo dos gêneros e possibilitando diferentes perspectivas acerca da opressiva estrutura do armário e seu papel na dinâmica de sujeição e abjeção. Pretende-se, ainda, registrar como o referido grupo teatral fez uso do artifício e do fracasso, principalmente no que concerne às noções de gênero, para territorializar novos afetos e construir novas possibilidades de real social; essa reflexão é atravessada pelo modo como os Dzi Croquettes “reciclam” a instituição da família e, também, como afetos como a vergonha, a humilhação e a culpa perpassam a vida sob a marca da diferença. Para dar conta do que se propõe, será utilizada como procedimento metodológico a cartografia como sugerida por Rolnik (2006).

Since the extinction of the initial formation of the group Dzi Croquettes in 1976, much progress has been made in the West in the fields of feminists, gays, gender and queer, the subaltern and postcolonial studies. Taking into account also the socio-cultural changes occurred, this study aims to understand the power of that theater group, when viewed today through the homonymous documentary, creating new possibilities for subjectivity in the Brazilian socio-cultural panorama. To this end, we seek to contextualize its inception in the wake of the counterculture; attuned to events outside of Brazil, as nascent social movements, and under the strong influence of the Tropicália movement, they took the stage under the technique of Lennie Dale and the humor of Walter Ribeiro and laid the groundwork for a new theatrical genre, a very Brazilian one, that would later be known as besteirol. All this was made up high heels, dressing male and female garments over hairy, heavily made up and glittered bodies; they were the portrait of androgyny. Their performance had the potency to blur boundaries and deconstruct bodies, exposing the performative nature of gender and allowing different perspectives on the oppressive structure of the closet and its role in the dynamics of subjection and abjection. Yet, it is intended here to register as the aforementioned theater group made use of artifice and failure especially in relation to notions of gender to territorialize new affections and build new possibilities of social reality; this reflection is crossed by how Dzi Croquettes "recycle" the institution of the family and also as such affects as shame, humiliation and guilt pervade life under the mark of difference. To give an account of what is proposed, cartography will be used as a methodological procedure as suggested by Rolnik (2006).
