Resumo:
This research explores the emergence of dramaturgical production with LGBTQIAPN+ themes in the city of Manaus during the 2000s. To understand this emerging scenario and the urgency of these themes in contemporary dramaturgy, it is essential to analyze how the narratives and approaches to LGBTQIAPN+ experiences in Brazilian dramaturgy were, for many decades, rooted in processes of erasure or validation of stereotypes, almost always presented in a pejorative manner or reinforcing prejudices. From the 2000s onward, this panorama begins to change, with new political and social configurations also influencing theater. Manaus's dramaturgical production is shaped by the search for identity construction based on its regionality. In this context, we will examine how this search impacts the city's textual production and enables the predominance of certain themes. Thus, we will also analyze how LGBTQIAPN+ experiences were almost nonexistent in the city's dramaturgical production in previous decades.
