Resumen:
Starting from the question how to preserv and disseminate the memory of actors on the areas of librarianship and Documentation with significant unpublicized prominent acts, this research examines the professional trajectory of Antonio Agenor Briquet de Lemos, encompassing his academic training, practical experiences, and publications in the field of Information Science in Brazil, with a particular emphasis on the areas of Librarianship and Documentation. The study aims to preserve and systematise the contributions of Briquet de Lemos and the eponymous publishing house, focusing on their output in Librarianship and Documentation, as well as Briquet de Lemos's professional life as a publisher. To this end, the academic literature produced and edited by Briquet de Lemos was identified; list of publications by your publishing
house and description of publications about him. Data analysis procedure, following the three steps proposed by the author the first of organizing the material collected through research and questionnaires; second stage of coding; and thied stage – categorization, separated into 4 categories: Category 1: Biographical trajectory; Category 2: Literary end scientific production; Category 3: Contributions from Briquet de Lemos publishing house; Category 4: publications about Briquet de Lemos. This investigation employs a qualitative approach and is descriptive in nature with respect to its objectives. Methodologically, it is classified as bibliographical and documentary research. The work resulted in recording the life trajectory of Briquet de Lemos. The main difficulties were the lake of related work to construct the methodology and the limited time to collect information about Briquet.
