Resumo:
This study aims to present data regarding theatrical practices in Chapada Diamantina-BA, based on internships in schools and educational spaces. The research investigated the characteristics of the artistic activities developed and the lack of professionals with training in theater in the region. Through the internships carried out, challenges were identified, such as the lack of adequate infrastructure, the devaluation of theater art by teachers and the lack of discipline among students. During the research, we found specific issues regarding the teaching of arts in schools, especially in relation to theatrical language. It is worth noting that the issues found were analyzed according to the context of the Chapada Diamantina-BA region, and from the theoretical study it is understood that they are reflections of the low investment in culture and arts in Brazil.
