The present academic work seeks to contribute to the value of oral culture from voices
of the oldest and oldest of Quilombo da Muribeca, located in the city of São Francisco
do Conde (Bahia), for the promotion of educational processes for children and young
people between 07 (seven) and 17 (seventeen) years old about black identities in the
theater. So, in a specific way, I was able to investigate elements of the oral history of
the Quilombo da Muribeca about black identities; to investigate stories told by the older
Quilombo da Muribeca; exercises the basic principles of being a "griot" inside of the
collective dynamics in an African perspective in the creative process in theater from
the context of Quilombo da Muribeca. The methodology used in this process is
supported by two fields of knowledge - empirical and scientific and seeks to merge the
black theater and storytelling, highlighting the value of oral culture and the knowledge
transmitted by the voices of the eldest of Quilombo da Muribeca. To as for the
objectives, descriptive and exploratory research were used; How much regarding the
sources of information and data collection procedure, we opted for the bibliographic
research and field research through participant observation with the realization of
theater workshops and the creative process for children and young people of the
Quilombo da Muribeca and interviews with the oldest and oldest of this place. As for
nature, it consists of a qualitative perspective (GIL, 2002). The results pointed to the
strengthening of our identities, a connection between generations and ancestral
belonging. He brought the voices of the community into the university, through the
narratives present in this dissertation and for the classroom, through the theatrical
games created and re-signified, concerning the history oral. The stories told by the
eldest were retold by the children through from the theater, it is understood that the old
does not exclude the new and neither can the new delete the old one. This exchange
produces awareness.
