Resumo:
The present research aimed to analyze the dramaturgy of the circus, in reference the circus-theater show, which stands out for the exhibition of numbers characteristic of the circus and theatrical representations. It informs that dramaturgy was studied by different areas of the performing arts, such as theater, dance, and opera. Highlighting that the circus show presents different dramaturgies, in line with the communicative situation and the instruments used, it indicates three types of dramatic modalities for the circus: dramaturgy of numbers, dramaturgy of text and narrative dramaturgy. With this exposition, it is stated that the first two modalities are part of the composition of the circus-theater show. The qualitative research, of a bibliographic nature, stands out for the exploratory-analytical nature of the investigation. In addition identify different realities for circus dramaturgy, also involved the analysis of the work O Guarani, adapted to be performed at the Irmãos Orlandino circus in 1944 from the perspective of Discourse Analysis. Finally, the hypothesis “the variety of circus shows directs and constitutes multiple dramaturgies for the circus”, was confirmed.
