Resumo:
This research has as its object of study the Mil Mulheres Program (PMM), extension program offered at the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (IFs) for women in situations of social vulnerability. This study seeks to analyze the empowerment strategies of women in situations of social vulnerability, formed by the PMM, taking as reference the disempower the patriarchal system of public policies as one of the fundamental paths in the implementation of feminist social policies. Likewise, the solidarity economy is the focus of investigation in this research, as an important itinerary for the construction of social policies that promote the empowerment of women and the recovery of regional identity. This is a research paper that investigates the disempower the patriarchal system public policies aimed at women, based on an analysis of the advances, barriers and limitations of the Mulheres Mil Program in Bahia, investigating, in this way, the gaps and objectives achieved by this Program in the city of Seabra - located in the region of Chapada Diamantina, between the years 2011 and 2015. The methodology used as a reference for developing the research is qualitative in nature and based on the case study. The interview was the fundamental methodological procedure for data collection, in this research, to give voice and visibility to formed by the Seabra campus. Although issues related to work, income and education, foreseen in the national objective of the Mulheres Mil Program have not been satisfactorily achieved, with this study it was evident that the Seabra campus experience provided women with increased self-esteem, knowledge about some social rights and empowerment.
