Resumo:
The research entitled “Teatro Com Crianças na Aldeia Itapuã: O Ensino em Teatro no Colégio
Indígena Tupinambá Amotara” proposes a significant study of the intersection between
indigenous education and theater pedagogy. Using the staging of the literary work “O Navio
Negreiro”, by Castro Alves, as a basis, the research employs the theatrical games of the Theater
of the Oppressed, developed by Augusto Boal, as a central tool. The main objective is to
integrate the practice of reading, interpretation and the development of oral communication
with artistic skills and competencies, promoting learning in a playful and engaging way. In
doing so, the research seeks not only to teach literature and theater, but also to strengthen the
cultural identity and individual and collective expression of the participants, within the
indigenous educational context. This approach highlights the importance of pedagogical
methods that respect and value traditional cultures, while at the same time offering opportunities
to enhance creativity and critical reflection.
