Resumo:
The work entitled “Brincadeiras de Quintal: uma experiência teatral com jovens e adultos no ensino não formal” (Backyard games: a theatrical experience with young people and adults in non-formal education) presents an account of the experience gained during Supervised Internship III in a non-formal education space on the EAD Theater Degree course at the Federal University of Bahia. The discussions show that artistic practices are intrinsic to human beings and contribute globally to everyone's life. In addition, it is an opportunity to favor those who, as students, have not had the chance to experience this artistic practice in their classrooms while still at school. It is necessary to discuss that theater is fundamental to everyone's life in society because of its critical, reflective and self-knowledge capacity. In school, students have the opportunity to experience it in art classes, at least they have the right to do so, but what about people who are already out of school, such as those who have already completed basic education? That's why it's essential to bring theater to the community that feels distant from it. The main objective was to understand how theater classes are held for young people and adults who are not actors in a non-school setting. In order to achieve the results, we sought to analyze how these classes are carried out; to identify the feelings and sensations of people who have never done theater when participating in classes/workshops through their reports; and to understand the development of theater with non-actor participants through observation. The theoretical basis was based on the following authors: Augusto Boal (2009), Koudela (1989), Paulo Freire (1999), Granero (2018), Jupiassú (2001), Gohn (2006), Canda (2020), Ferraz and Fusari (1999) and others. During the internship, there were hours of guaranteed laughter at the funny exercises or simply at the excitement of seeing themselves doing a movement they had never done before. Light-hearted moments that made them assiduous and not just counting their attendance, but actually being there body and soul engaged. This was a very remarkable experience. In this way, it's worth thinking that reflections and questions should permeate educational and art training spaces to emphasize that it's important to fight for and carry out meaningful theatrical experiences outside of school as well. There are many young people and adults out of school who are waiting for opportunities like this.
