Abstract:
The present work is an exercise in an “ontological turn” in the practical field of Health
Psychology. The objective is to speculate on the materialities in the public assistance act in the
CAPS AD II unit in the municipality of Guanambi-Ba. This dissertation is part of the conclusion
of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Psychology at IMS/UFBA, in the Clinical
Practices and Mental Health research line, and is composed of three chapters. The first chapter,
in the format of an article submitted to Revista Antrolítico, is a speculative exercise based on
how, in practice, the best possible CAPS is built. As for the second chapter, also in the format
of an article submitted to Revista Anuário Antropológico – Revista de Antropologia, it seeks to
recover a replacement for the ontology of materialities that exist in CAPS, contributing to
overcoming the protagonism of the role of the human “subject” in the field of Human
Psychology. Health when providing assistance. The third chapter, finally, is the technical technological product in the format of an awareness workshop, called Weaving the cozy at
CAPS AD II, with the aim of instigating the awareness of health professionals and the
identification of the action of the materialities of the service. This research was approved by the
IMS/UFBA Human Research Ethics Committee, under opinion number 6.009.484.
