Resumo:
The reception of the global agenda of the sustainable development by Mercocities is not a trivial or obvious matter and is part of these interactions (and intertwining) between agendas at different levels of international relations. In addition, being a regional institution made up of sub-national governments strengthens the idea that regionalism is not limited to inter-state interaction and can provide dialogue between different actors thinking up their own solutions to shared problems, regionally and globally. So the question is: how does the SDG global agenda connect with the regional and local agenda of Mercocidades and its institutional mission to deepen South American regional integration?
