Abstract:
This Final Conclusion Work aims to record the memory of an important builder in the history of the Brazilian popular vibraphone; Alfredo de Souza, the vibraphone Mesquita. The documentary, bibliographical,and survey research was carried out in the master's course of the Professional Graduate Program in Music (PPGPROM) and was divided into three parts: a memorial with the description of my musical trajectory and the process developed in the research, an article scientific title: Alfredo de Souza, the Mesquita do vibrafone - pioneering spirit and contribution to the language of the chorão vibraphone and a final product: an album in tribute to Mesquita. In this research, we record Mesquita's pioneering spirit and contribution to the chorão vibraphone.
