Interação técnico / homem do campo: o léxico da agricultura

Abstract

Analisa-se a variação semântica e lexical que provoca dificuldades na interação técnico/homem do campo. Entrevistaram-se dois técnicos em Agropecuária e doze informantes da zona rural de Sítio Novo, Catu–BA. Observaram-se na seleção dos técnicos a escolaridade (ex-alunos da Escola Agrotécnica Federal de Catu-BA), área de atuação e tempo de trabalho na região. Os informantes da zona rural foram escolhidos segundo as variáveis extralingüísticas – faixa etária, escolaridade e gênero. Agruparam-se os dados em categorias, considerando-se a compreensão do agricultor aos questionamentos feitos. Constatou-se que as variáveis extralingüísticas interferem neste processo interacionista. Os informantes escolarizados, os mais velhos (acima de 31 anos) e os do gênero masculino apresentaram-se mais próximos lingüisticamente dos profissionais, visto que demonstraram maior entendimento às questões a eles dirigidas. Verificou-se que os técnicos têm consciência de que termos específicos da área impedem o sucesso na sua comunicação com o agricultor; implicando numa mudança de estratégias lingüísticas. Percebeu-se também que o trabalhador rural tem uma tendência maior para compreender a descrição das atividades do que para identificar a terminologia técnica. E por desconhecer as especificidades inerentes à linguagem técnica, o agricultor generaliza a utilização dos produtos. Finalmente, observou-se que os falantes pesquisados, considerando-se a diversidade lexical existente, devem adaptar suas linguagens mutuamente neste processo interacionista, objetivando uma comunicação mais eficaz.

This research analyses the semantic and lexical variations that cause difficulties in the technician/rural champ interaction. Two technicians and twelve informants from the country regions of Sítio Novo, Catu-BA were interviewed. In the agenda of selecting, the technicians involved in the research, important issues were observed: scholary level (former students of Escola Agrotécnica Federal de Catu/BA), field competence and the period they’ve been working in the region. The informants from rural zone were chosen, according to the extra linguistic variables such as: age, scholary level and gender. The data collected were grouped in categories, according to the comprehension of the planter, about the questions were asked. It was evident that the extra linguistic variables interfere in this interation process. The scholared planters, the elders (31 years old and above) and those from masculine gender, presented linguistic patterns closer to the professional, to the comprenhension level about the question they were asked. It was verified that technicians are aware that technical field vocabulary use, interferes in achieving success of the communication between themselves and planters which results in a change of linguistic strategies. It was also observed that the rural worker has a tendency to better understand the description of the activities than to identify technical terminology. And, as for ignoring the specific features related to the technical language, the planter generalizes the use of the products. Finally, it was noticed that in order to minimize the interation interference, considering the lexical diversity, these spkears should adapt their language expression, with the aim of developing more efficient communication.
