| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation presents the research "through the door" formation and routine
collected by the Holy Name of Jesus from 1716 to 1867, which aims to understand the
changes occurring in this space from the discussions at the time of what should be the
feminine and the dynamics created by internal provoked questions about the type of
training that was aimed at them. Seeks, through the course of the gathering itself and its
characters, the various internal, the different reasons that made this area a viable
alternative to a life-changing for these individuals, either through the desired marriage,
or by the introduction of an education focused on the job. At the same time that it was a

| dc.description.resumo | Esta dissertação apresenta a pesquisa “Porta adentro”: formação e cotidiano das recolhidas do Santo Nome de Jesus de 1716 a 1867, que tem como finalidade compreender as transformações ocorridas nesse espaço a partir das discussões da época do que deveria ser o feminino e das dinâmicas criadas pelas internas que provocaram questionamentos sobre o tipo de formação que era destinado a elas. Busca-se, através da trajetória do próprio recolhimento e dos seus personagens, as diversas internas, os diferentes motivos que fizeram desse espaço uma alternativa viável para uma mudança de vida para esses indivíduos, seja através do almejado casamento, seja pela introdução de uma educação voltada para o trabalho. Ao mesmo tempo em que se constituiu um lugar de guarda da honra sexual da mulher fosse ela branca ou de cor. | pt_BR |
