Evolução da mão de obra ocupada na agricultura dos municípios das regiões Norte e Noroeste do estado do Rio de Janeiro, 1970 a 1995

Abstract

The research analyzes the evolution of the familiar workers, the permanent employees, the temporary employees and the partners in the agriculture of the North and Northeast regions of the Rio de Janeiro State. In the period from 1970 to 1975, the partners grown less than the other types of workers. Between 1975 and 1980, the growth of the familiar workers and temporary employees was lesser than the growth of the total agricultural employment. In the first half of the decade of 80, the permanent employees, who had presented greater dynamism in all the decade of 70, had shown, together with the temporary employees, an inferior growth compared to that presented by the familiar workers and by the partnership. This can be associated to the economic crisis of this moment, and particularly to the exhaustion of the model of agricultural modernization, operating until then. In the period from 1985 to 1995, the more dynamic types of workers were the familiar workers and the permanent employees.
