RESTAURAÇÃO DO CASARÃO DOS ALCÂNTARAS LIVRAMENTO DE NOSSA SENHORA/ BA

Abstract

O presente trabalho de conclusão do Mestrado Profissional, em Conservação e Restauração de Monumentos e Núcleos Históricos, tem como objeto de estudo o Casarão dos Alcântaras, construído no município de Livramento de Nossa Senhora, Bahia, em meados do século XIX, utilizando a técnica construtiva tradicional do adobe. No início do século XX, passou por reforma de embelezamento, ganhando feições características da arquitetura eclética em suas fachadas. Nos dias atuais encontra-se em estado avançado de degradação, sendo ainda possível o reconhecimento dos ambientes que o integram. O objetivo principal desta dissertação é a preservação da edificação, por meio da restauração, adotando soluções técnicas compatíveis com a técnica construtiva do monumento, as quais são baseadas na fundamentação teórica, no diagnóstico de degradação e na adequação ao novo uso, buscando respeitar a preexistência para transmitir seus significados para as gerações futuras.

The present work, in Conservation and Restoration of Monuments and Historical Centers, has as object of study the “Casarão dos Alcântaras”, built in the county of Livramento de Nossa Senhora, Bahia, in the mid of the 19th century, using the traditional adobe technique of construction. At the beginning of the 20th century, it underwent a beautification reform, gaining eclectic architecture characteristics on its facades. Nowadays it is in an advanced state of degradation, tough it’s still possible the recognition of the environments that integrate it. The main objective of this research is the preservation of the building, by restoration, adopting technical solutions compatible with the monument building technique, as they are based on the theoretical foundation, on the diagnosis of degradation and on the adequacy to new uses, seeking to respect the pre-existence to convey their meanings to future generations.
