(Eco)logias do cuidado: Saúde, natureza, e sociabilidade em Serra Grande, Uruçuca – BA

Abstract

Serra Grande, situada no Sul da Bahia, vem se destacando como um importante centro de terapias alternativas no circuito das religiosidades nova era. A busca do autoconhecimento, o cuidado da saúde e a preservação da natureza constituem práticas que tem mobilizado, nos últimos 20 anos, os que chegam a essa pequena localidade. Entretanto, esses modos de habitar contrastam-se com os modos de habitar nativos, em que as relações comunitárias eram a garantia de saúde e bem-estar. As diferentes formas de se relacionar com a natureza, consigo mesmo, com as pessoas e com o território também refletem e contrastam com as diferentes formas de cuidado e concepções de saúde que são produzidas e atualizadas nessa localidade. Esta etnografia descreve essas diferentes formas de habitar a Vila, bem como os agenciamentos que esses modos formulam, especialmente no que diz respeito à saúde e às formas de cuidado no lugar.

Serra Grande, located in the south of Bahia, comes to stand out as an important center for alternative therapies in the circuit of new age religions. The search for self-knowledge, health care and the preservation of nature practical practices that have been mobilized, in the last 20 years, by those who arrive in this small locality. However, these ways of living contrast with native ways of living, in which sexual relations were a guarantee of health and well-being. As different ways of relating to nature, also, as people and with the territory, they also reflect and contrast with different forms of care and health concepts that are produced and updated in this location. This ethnography describes these different ways of inhabiting the village, as well as the methods that are formulated, especially with regard to health and forms of care in the place.
