tilápia do Nilo.

The temperature of the water can influence significantly the performance of the animal, affecting the speed of the chemical reactions, exerting effect on the growth. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of n-6 / n-3 ratio and temperature on food preference performance, hematological parameters and body deposition of Nile tilapia. The experiment was conducted at the Fish Nutrition and Behavior Laboratory of the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia - UFRB, in the city of Cruz das Almas - BA, for a period of 30 days. The experiment was conducted in a cold room, 256 juveniles of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), with (15,36 ± 0,14g and 10,93 ± 0,12cm), distributed in two independent water recirculation systems composed of mechanical and biological filters, digital temperature controller and photoperiod of 12 hours of light and 12 hours dark, with 16 rectangular glass aquariums with capacity for 60 liters. In each experimental unit 16 juveniles of tilapia were acclimated for one week, where temperatures were gradually changed until reaching 20 ° C in one system and 30 ° C in another. The water temperature, dissolved oxygen and pH were monitored daily, ammonia and nitrite 66 weekly. The treatments were: Diet with n-6 / n-3 ratio (3.85), at 20ºC; Diet with n-6 / n- 3 ratio (12.02) at 20 ° C; Diet with n-6 / n-3 ratio (3.85) at 30 ° C and Diet with n-6 / n-3 ratio (12.02) at 30 ° C. A completely randomized design in a 2 x 2 factorial arrangement (two temperatures and two levels of n-6 / n-3 ratio). The diets were formulated with dietary LA / LNA ratio: 3.8% and 12.0%, isoproteic (36% crude protein), isolipidic (7%). The animals were fed to apparent satiety three times a day, at the end of the experiment was performed biometry and tissue collection. Parameters of performance zootechnical end length and final weight there was statistical difference for temperature, a higher growth was observed at 30 ° C (P <0.05). For average weight gain, average daily weight gain, specific growth rate, daily feed intake, apparent feed conversion, there were no significant differences between treatments. No mortality was recorded during the experiment. The different temperatures and n6 / n3 ratios of 3.8% and 12.0% did not influence viscerosomatic indexes and hepatosomatic index in tilapia. For the serum biochemical variables, significant differences were found (P <0.05) for total cholesterol presenting higher values for temperature of 30 ºC (P <0.05). For the variable VLDL there were statistical differences for temperature and n6 / n3 ratio. However, for MUFA (monounsaturated fatty acids) there were statistical differences for temperatures, and the temperature of 20 ° C presented higher MUFA storage. For C18: 2n-6 there were statistical differences for temperature where 20 ºC obtained smaller values and C22: 6n- 3 (DHA) presented higher values in temperature of 20 ºC. However, for C18: 3n-3, there were higher values in the ratio of n6 / n3 of 12.0% and higher values of C20: 5n-3 (EPA) in 12.0% (P <0.05). For Σ PUFA there were statistical differences smaller values were found in temperature of 20 ºC. For n-6 higher values were found at 30 ° C and n6 / n3 at 3.8%. In n-3 and n-3HUFA, higher values were found in 12.02% (P <0.05). Higher n-3 / n-6 ratio were found in 3.8% (P <0.05). And higher DHA / EPA ratio were found at temperatures of 20 ° C (P <0.05). Centesimal analysis of the carcass showed statistical differences for ethereal extract and for crude protein for temperature, for ashes there were no static differences (P> 0.05). In the experiment of selection of diets the fish reached a final weight of (65.83 ± 3.27g) at the temperature of 30 ° C and (61.68 ± 2.31g) at the temperature of 20 ° C. For animals submitted to temperature of 30 ° C there was a pattern of food preference for the ratio of n6 / n3 (3.85%). Animals submitted to a temperature of 20 ° C. On days 01 and 02 there were statistical differences for diets with n6 / n3 ratio (12.02%). After 6 days of experimentation, the fish exhibited a different pattern of diet selection and consumed more capsules with the ratio of n6 / n3 (3.85%) maintaining this same behavior with the challenge with a diet rich in monounsaturated fat, maintaining this selection pattern. Diets 12.0 and 3.8 did not cause detrimental effects on growth and final weight, diet 12.0 increased the serum biochemical levels VLDL, AST, triglycerides 67 and cortisol, while diet 3,8 influenced in the increase of levels of glucose and diet selection. Temperatures at 20 ° C and 30 ° C did not cause detrimental effects on growth and final weight at 30 ° C tilapia showed an increase in serum VLDL, AST, triglycerides and cortisol, and hematological levels of globular volume and hemoglobin while temperature 20 ° C caused an increase in glucose. |
