RUÍNA DO SOLAR MELLO VIANNA: PROJETO DE CONSOLIDAÇÃO E INTERVENÇÃO ARQUITETÔNICA

Abstract

O Solar Mello Vianna foi uma imponente edificação do período colonial, inserido nas imediações do modesto núcleo histórico da cidade de Sabará. Igrejas barrocas marcam a riqueza do ciclo do ouro; as pontes ferroviárias e as vilas operárias fazem lembrar o ciclo do ferro; e, por último, a expansão urbana, que descaracterizou a paisagem da cidade em detrimento à proximidade com a capital Belo Horizonte: assim, denominou-se Ruína do Solar Mello Vianna, fragmento arquitetônico marcado, no atual estado de conservação, pelas três fases econômicas que consolidaram e modificaram a cidade até os dias de hoje. Camuflada perante a vegetação e a coloração terrosa das paredes de pedra, a ruína conta com a memória e a proteção dos moradores que, saudosistas, aguardam sua preservação. O trabalho que se transcorre explora as informações encontradas a respeito desse monumento, analisando, de forma crítica, os vestígios de pedra remanescentes, em busca de dados históricos, construtivos e de modificações do entorno. Amparada em teóricos contemporâneos do restauro, propõese a intervenção de consolidação da ruína e do novo volume arquitetônico, com objetivo de dinamizar o uso do espaço, em favorecimento as demandas atuais de Sabará.

The Solar de Mello Vianna was an imposing building in the colonial period, located in the surroundings of the historical city of Sabara. The Baroque architecture of the churches highlights the richness of the golden era; the railway bridges and the working villages remind us of the iron era; and the urban expansion which adulterated the city’s landscape in detriment of the proximity of the capital. For these reasons it was named Ruins of Solar Mello Vianna, architectonic fragment marked, in its recent conservation estate, by three economic phases which consolidated and changed the city until these days. The ruins, camouflaged towards the vegetation and the earthy colour of its stone walls, rely on the memory and protection of the residents who, longing, wait for its preservation. The recent work explores the information found related to this monument, analysing, in a critical way, the traced elements of the remaining stones, looking for historical and constructive data, and modifications of the surroundings. Supported by contemporaneous restoration’s theorists, it proposes the intervention for consolidation of the ruin and of the new architectonic volume, with the objective of invigorating the usage of the space, in favour of the current demands of Sabara.
