Nas redes da tradição: Discurso identitário da comunidade de Baiacu

Abstract

A dissertação ocupa-se da produção discursiva de uma comunidade de pescadores, Baiacu, localizada na Ilha de Itaparica-Ba, realizando uma leitura de textos produzidos por alguns dos seus habitantes, tendo como foco a reflexão deles sobre a construção da identidade local e a sua transmissão através da produção de narrativas orais. Partindo de dez textos cujos enredos constituem-se de fatos sucedidos nos momentos de trabalho no mar, a dissertação propõe uma análise do discurso de sujeitos, dos elementos sócio-históricos sob os quais eles se assentam, bem como do contexto de recepção no momento das performances. Com o apoio de teóricos da crítica cultural a exemplo de Alberto Moreiras, Stuart Hall, Nestór Garcia Calclini, dentre outros. Discutiram-se conceitos de cultura popular e erudita e os critérios de legitimação de cada uma dessas categorias; as reflexões de estudiosos como Roger Chartier, Peter Burke, Michel de Certeau, Clifford Geertz auxiliaram a discussão em torno do papel do crítico cultural relativo aos estudos em comunidades tradicionais. Para a análise dos textos, foi usada a noção de testemunho de Alberto Moreiras e aos textos do corpus aos quais foram aplicados essa conceituação foram tratados como testemunho ocular, dependendo do lugar ocupado pela 7 voz narrativa. A participação da platéia e do pesquisador são ressaltadas no decorrer das análises que buscaram apontar a função social desses discursos como transmissores de ensinamentos relativos às práticas da pesca artesanal que sustentam material e simbolicamente os habitantes de Baiacu.

The dissertation occupies-itself of the output discursive of a community of fishermen, Baiacu, locates in the Island of Itaparica-Ba, carrying out a reading of texts produced by some of his inhabitants, having like focus the reflection of them about the construction of the local identity and the transmission of her across of the output of oral narratives. Starting from ten texts whose plots constitute itself of facts events in the moments of work in the sea, the dissertation proposes an analysis of the talk of subjects, of the partner-historical elements under the which itself settle, as well like of the context of reception in the moment of the performances. With the support of theoreticians of the cultural critic following the example of Alberto Moreiras, Stuart Hall, Nestór Garcia Calclini, between others and discussed itself concepts of scholarly and popular culture and the criteria of legitimation of each category; the reflections of studious as Roger Chartier, Peter Burke, Michel of Certeau, Clifford Geertz helped the argument around the paper of the relative cultural critic to the studies in traditional communities. For the analysis of the texts used itself the notion of testimony of Alberto Moreiras and the texts of the corpus were categorized like eye testimony and testimony auricular, depending on the place occupied by the narrative voice. The participation of the 8 audience and of the researcher are stood out in elapse of the analyses that sought to aim the social function of those talks as transmitters of relative teachings to the practices of the craft fishing that maintain material and symbolically the inhabitants of Baiacu.
