Formação inicial de professoras (es) no curso de Licenciatura em Química no IFBA: contradições e possibilidades entre o Projeto Político Pedagógico Institucional e o Projeto Pedagógico do Curso de Licenciatura em Química.

Abstract

O Curso de licenciatura em Química, do Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia da Bahia (IFBA), campus Porto Seguro, teve o seu início no ano de 2010. A graduação está funcionando há dez anos e já entregou à sociedade de Porto Seguro e região mais de cinquenta licenciados em Química. A licenciatura tem uma importância central para a sociedade, uma vez que forma docentes, que contribuem para a formação de profissionais de diferentes áreas. Entre todas as disciplinas do ensino básico, destacam-se as ciências da natureza, na qual a Química proporciona a compreensão de fenômenos físico-químicos naturais e artificiais, desenvolve habilidades científicas e aguça o senso crítico dos estudantes. Os professores de Química podem ser formados por várias correntes pedagógicas, dentre as quais se destaca a Pedagogia histórico-crítica, que orienta o Projeto Pedagógico da Instituição. Diante disso, o presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar o Projeto Pedagógico Institucional do IFBA e verificar o seu alinhamento com o Projeto Pedagógico do curso de Licenciatura em Química do IFBA, campus Porto Seguro. Isso possibilitou a investigação de lacunas nos projetos pedagógico institucional e projeto pedagógicos do curso, bem como os possíveis impactos na formação do aluno de licenciatura em Química do IFBA. A pesquisa poderá contribuir para a compreensão do papel da Pedagogia histórico-crítica no Projeto Político da Instituição e na formação dos licenciandos, além de propiciar aos futuros docentes o entendimento da sua real importância na sociedade, como ativadores da consciência nos jovens e suas famílias, pelos conhecimentos científicos, em particular da Química, vinculados a uma concepção de mundo materialista e dialética. A pesquisa mostrou a relevância de formar um aluno crítico na perspectiva sócio-histórica e de se trabalhar os conteúdos nos seus modos mais desenvolvidos, tendo como base a ciência, a filosofia e a arte, o que possibilita uma verdadeira mudança com relação à concepção de mundo. Todo esse trabalho proporcionará um conhecimento da realidade como ela realmente é, nas suas múltiplas determinações sociais, tornando possível a tomada de decisões para agir e alterá-la. O estudo ainda possibilitará que a instituição faça ajustes e adequações nos seus documentos, contribuindo para a intensificação do uso da Pedagogia histórico-crítica entre os docentes, assim como na formação dos estudantes da instituição.

ABSTRACT The chemistry teacher education program at the Bahia Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology - IFBA, Porto Seguro campus, began in 2010. This degree program has been in operation for over ten years and has already placed into the society of Porto Seguro and its surroundings more than fifty graduates in chemistry. Teacher education degree programs are of key importance to society, as they train teachers who, in turn, will contribute to the training of professionals in all areas. Among all the subjects of elementary education, natural science stands out. This branch of chemistry provides an understanding of natural and artificial physical-chemical phenomena, develops scientific skills and sharpens students' critical thinking. Chemistry teachers can be trained through various educational methods, among which the Critical Historical Education stands out, and it is also the one guiding the Educational Project of the Institution. In view of that, the present study aimed to analyze the Educational Project of IFBA and verify its alignment with the Educational Project of the Chemistry Teacher Education program at IFBA, in the Porto Seguro campus. This enabled the investigation of gaps in the educational projects of the institution and of the program, as well as its possible impacts on the training of students graduating in chemistry from IFBA. The research may contribute to the understanding of the role of historical-critical Education in the Political Project of the Institution and in the training of teacher education graduates, in addition to providing future teachers with an understanding of their real importance in society as activators of awareness in young people and their families, through scientific knowledge, specially through chemistry, linked to a materialistic and dialectical world view. The research showed the relevance of training a critical student from a social and historical perspective and of working on the contents in their most developed forms, based on science, philosophy and art, which will enable a real change in relation to the world concept. This work will provide a knowledge of reality as it really is, in its multiple social determinations, encouraging the decision making to act towards and change it. The study will also enable the institution to make adjustments and adaptations to its documents, contributing to the intencification of the use of historical-critical Education among teachers, as well as in the training of students at the institution.
