Um Sertão que Rheluz: Cultura e Desenvolvimento no município de Pintadas (BA)

Abstract

Localizado no semiárido baiano, região que no imaginário social costumou ser associada à pobreza e ao atraso, o município de Pintadas intenta subverter o discurso hegemônico e se enuncia como um lugar possível ao articular um conjunto de experiências da sociedade civil na perspectiva do desenvolvimento sustentável e à luz da convivência com o semiárido. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo debater as relações entre cultura e desenvolvimento e, no âmbito desta rede, analisar as contribuições e incidências de projetos culturais dirigidos pela Companhia de Artes Cênicas Rheluz em nível local e territorial. A escolha deste objeto foi determinada, dentre outros aspectos, pela importância de dar visibilidade ao protagonismo social que emerge fora dos grandes centros urbanos, a exemplo deste sujeito coletivo que desempenhou um importante papel na mobilização de jovens e no ativismo cultural por quase duas décadas, promovendo novas formas de participação e atuação política em nível local e territorial. Para este estudo, as memórias constituem a principal fonte de investigação e utiliza-se o método qualitativo nas entrevistas, as quais servirão para compreender os caminhos trilhados e as transformações ocorridas através das vivências com as diversas linguagens artísticas. Os procedimentos metodológicos incluem ainda a revisão bibliográfica, análises documentais e registros em fotos e vídeos para obtenção de informações. Compreendemos que as ações analisadas geraram efeitos no processo de desenvolvimento e são frutos da sinergia das forças sociais, que acabaram se fragilizando, contudo, isso não tira o mérito nem as lições que deles resultam.

Placed in the semiárido of Bahia, region that in the social imagery was often linked to poverty and backwardness, the small city of Pintadas tries to subvert the hegemonic discourse and it is enunciated as a possible place building up a set of experiences from civil society in the perspective of sustainable development and in the light of the coexistence with the semiarid. The aim of this research is to discuss the relationships between culture and development and, with his network, analyze the contributions and incidences of cultural projects directed by the Rheluz Performing Arts Company at the local and territorial level. The choice of this object was determined, among other aspects, by the importance of giving visibility to the social protagonism that grows outside the great urban centers, as this collective subject that played an important role in the mobilization of young people and cultural activism for almost two decades,creating new forms of participation and political action at the local and territorial level. For this study the memories are the main source of investigation and the qualitative method is used in the interviews, which will serve to understand the pathways and the transformations that have occurred through the experiences with the different artistic languages. The methodological procedures also include bibliographic review, documentary analyzes and records in photos and videos to obtain information. We understand that the actions analyzed have generated effects in the development process and are fruit of the synergy of social forces, which have become fragile, but this does not detract from the lessons that result from them.
