Comunidade Quilombola Nova Esperança: a mulher na construção da identidade étnica

Abstract

A presente pesquisa focou em narrativas de mulheres quilombolas da comunidade de Nova Esperança, localizada no município de Wenceslau Guimarães, baixo sul da Bahia. Ao longo do trabalho são apresentadas narrativas dos moradores mais velhos centrados no entrelaçamento das suas memórias, as quais apresentam as trajetórias dos fundadores da comunidade e o processo de autoreconhecimento quilombola. Buscamos contar a história em torno na figura feminina de Antônia Maria de Jesus Apresentamos também as relações de trabalho e cotidianidades, as identidades moldadas pelos aspectos culturais e religiosos, especialmente o Terno de Reis, sambado em 06 de janeiro, e as celebrações aos Santos protetores - Nossa Senhora do Rosário e Santo Antônio. Os Santos foram trazidos para a localidade pelos Fundadores Faustino dos Santos e Antônia Marias de Jesus, respectivamente. Por fim, apresentamos a etnicidade identitária do lugar, a partir do que dizem as mulheres que ali vivem. Nas suas narrativas será possível compreender as relações étnicas do grupo, tanto por aproximação quanto por fronteiras étnicas na íntima relação entre Nós e Eles. No decorrer de todo trabalho é possível encontrar vestígios das experiências ancestrais, permitindo mapeamento de uma história até então invisibilizadas.

The present research focused on narratives of quilombolas women from the community of Nova Esperança, located in the municipality of Wenceslau Guimarães, in the south of Bahia. Throughout the work are presented narratives of the older inhabitants centered on the interweaving of their memories, in which they present the trajectories of the founders of the community and the process of quilombola self-recognition. We seek to tell the story centered on the female figure of Antonia Maria de Jesus. We also present the labor relations and daily life, the identities shaped by cultural and religious aspects, especially the Suit of Kings, sambado on January 6 and the celebrations to the patron saints - Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Anthony. The Saints were brought to the locality by the Founders Faustino dos Santos and Antônia Marias de Jesus, respectively. Finally, we present the identity ethnicity of the place, from what the women who live there say. In their narratives it will be possible to understand the ethnic relations of the group, both by approximation and by ethnic borders in the intimate relation between the Nodes and They. In the course of all work it is possible to find traces of ancestral experiences, allowing mapping of a history hitherto invisibilized.
